Have you ever worried about not being good enough or not doing enough in this world? I’m sure we all can answer yes. But worry is in vain because we aren’t good enough and never will be. The truth lies in the fact that God is our enough. With Him, we are enough. He is enough for us.
My son encountered a sleepless night as he pondered these thoughts. I encouraged him to write down his contemplations about being enough. All these reflections are his; I only rearranged and put in poetic form. I’m sure you’ll be encouraged with God’s answer to being enough. We’re not, but He is.
Enough……
Pondering my duties of work, family, life.
Enough? Am I enough? Am I doing enough?
NO! The answer is clearly no
Because at the root of my question
Lies the flaw—I, ME!
Of course I am not enough,
Life is bigger than me.
It's about a little baby boy named Jesus
It's about a little baby boy named Jesus
Who came to earth to be all of our ENOUGH, and more.
Lives are filled with anticipation, joy, struggle, strife.
And yet my head screams enough,
Quiet my mind, Lord God,
I’m trying to listen for You.
Enough?
Confusion clears
As I hear Jesus, my Savior, calling out,
ENOUGH!
You are NOT enough,
But I AM.
The Great I AM came to us all,
To be our enough
With His grace, love, and compassion.
Be quiet long enough,
Listen and reflect long enough
To His perfect offering of love,
Of being our more than ENOUGH.

And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NASB)
“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 (NASB)
