Have Faith in God

“Let not your heart be troubled. You are trusting God, now trust in me. There are many homes up there where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming.” John 14:1-2 (TLB)

“…..The Lord is with you.” Luke 1:28 (NIV)

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. Mark 11:22 (NIV)

For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)

Thwack. Thwack. Whap. The sounds of repair work in the basement suddenly drifted to the room above where Mom lay dying. “Mom, they’re building your mansion in heaven. Can you hear it?” I said.

No response came but I knew Mom heard. Earlier the hospice nurse reminded my family that hearing is the last to go in the throes of death. Evidence failed to prove Mom heard me, yet breath moved in and out of her seemingly lifeless body. Pale and bruised with bed sores developing, she groaned every time we attempted to gently move her. Her deteriorating earthly life progressed toward a hopeful heavenly end. Her mansion in glory awaited.

Are you living in the midst of a desperate situation? Does evidence surrounding your situation point to a demise of sorts? Have you lost all hope that anything will change?

Have faith. God is in control. He is with you. Believe in the name of Jesus. Trust Him and keep hoping. The best is yet to come.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Romans 5:3-5 (TLB)

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8 (NIV)

So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
