Our God is a personal God and He is faithful. Do you truly believe that He is who He says He is? Do you believe He will do what He says He will do? Is He faithful to His promises? 2 Corinthians 1:20, 2 Peter 1:4, Hebrews 6:11-12
Ponder your faith in God and consider your fears. What do you fear most? Do your fears shake your faith?
At various times in our lives we experience mountains and valleys. We can’t live on the mountain tops forever but the experience should build our faith. The fear that keeps us in the valley will overcome us if left unchecked; it will paralyze us unless we call to Jesus for help.
Have you ever been too stunned with fear to seize the opportunity to cry out to Jesus? Call to Him using Jeremiah 33:3.
What kind of faith do you have while in the midst of the storms of life? Do you persevere or shrink back? So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him." But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. Hebrews 10:35-39
Do you gaze heavenward seeking the eternal or do you look all around you at the temporal? 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Study these Scriptures as you seek to answer the questions. Let God speak to you and pour into you His blessed assurance. Fill up with His power and together we can call down heaven’s armies to fight for our children, praying His Word back to Him using Isaiah 43:5-7. We’ll study those verses next week.
I would love to read some comments on the blog with thoughts piqued from the questions. Listen to God and share how He is telling you to persevere and not shrink back.
