God's Faithful Promises

Her stomach in knots and her face soaked in tears, the woman fell to her knees in complete surrender. “You promised, God, You said she has a good future, full of hope and assurance. Well, what kind of future lies ahead when the here and now appears awful. Help us, Lord!

At times circumstances speak louder than the very words of God. Focusing on the changing situations around us causes confusion and uncertainty. Doubts creep into our lives when we forget to cling to His promises. Focusing on the one true God who created heaven and earth builds confidence in His faithfulness.

Get to know the God who made you in His own image. Open your eyes to read His words. Open your ears to hear His voice. Open your heart to experience His love. He is a relational God who longs for your presence. Cease the struggle and experience His loving peaceful Presence. Stand firm on Jesus, the very Word of God, and trust His steadfast promises. Rest in the beauty of His grace!

Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.  Joshua 21:45 (NIV)

“Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.  1 Kings 8:56 (NIV)

Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them.  Psalm 119:140 (NIV)

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.  Psalm 145:13 (NIV)

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!  Luke 1:45 (NIV)

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.  2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV)

[Prayer Promises] In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.  John 16:23 (NIV)

Lord Jesus, I want to trust You but sometimes doubts torment me. Help me focus on You throughout the daily grind of daytime and keep my mind centered on Your Word during the restless hours of darkness. I will remember Your promises and believe You! Come, Holy Spirit, to assist me. I ask this in the precious name of Jesus, AMEN.

My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises. Psalm 119:148 (NIV)
