Jesus, Our Only Savior

Israel’s Only Savior

But now, this is what the Lord says—
    he who created you, Jacob,
    he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the Lord your God,
    the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
    Cush and Seba in your stead.
Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
    and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
    nations in exchange for your life.
Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
    I will bring your children from the east
    and gather you from the west.
I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
    and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’
Bring my sons from afar
    and my daughters from the ends of the earth—
everyone who is called by my name,
    whom I created for my glory,
    whom I formed and made.”
Isaiah 43:1-7 (NIV)

I, the Lord God, spoke into existence this place you call home. From the dust of the earth I created, I framed your body and fashioned your mind. I created a people for Myself because I love relationship and correspondence. In my wisdom I gave you the right to choose.

I named you and called you to Me. You are Mine, so don’t live in fear—I have saved you. Your situation may look frightening; worry and dread feels suffocating, but don’t let it consume you. I never said life would be easy, but I did say that I would be with you. You may feel overwhelmed, but I’m here beside you and I want to hold your hand. Let me in. I am the Lord your God, your Savior, Israel’s Holy One.

I walked on the path through the Red Sea with you, protecting you from your enemies. I’m beside you in the hospital as you hold your dying father’s hand. I will be by your side each day as you wait your child’s return. I know your circumstances and I am working in them. Surrender your will to Me, daily follow me, and I will give you the desires of your heart. I am God Almighty—is anything too difficult for Me to accomplish? Remember I created you. You are so precious to Me.

Trust Me. In my time, I will bring My people back to their borders. I will call out to the four corners of the earth and bring back My people, you and your children, My children. I know it’s hard for you to believe, but I love your children more than you do. I created them and gave them My name. They will return and shine for Me with My glory. Trust Me with your life and theirs. I am Jesus, your Lord and Savior.

Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine.  Exodus 19:5 (NASB)

And now says the Lord, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant,
To bring Jacob back to Him, so that Israel might be gathered to Him
(For I am honored in the sight of the Lord,
And My God is My strength).
Isaiah 49:5 (NASB)

In all their affliction He was afflicted,
And the angel of His presence saved them;
In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them,
And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.
Isaiah 63:9 (NASB)

“I will dwell in them and walk among them;
And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
“Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord.
“And do not touch what is unclean;
And I will welcome you.
“And I will be a father to you,
And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,”
Says the Lord Almighty.  2 Corinthians 6:16b-18 (NASB)

“Declare and set forth your case;
Indeed, let them consult together.
Who has announced this from of old?
Who has long since declared it?
Is it not I, the Lord?
And there is no other God besides Me,
A righteous God and a Savior;
There is none except Me.
“Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.  Isaiah 45:21-22 (NASB)

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary
And gathered from the lands,
From the east and from the west,
From the north and from the south.  Psalm 107:1-3 (NASB)

Amen, Lord! We believe you and trust your Word!
